Due to ever changing exposures facing our emergency service organization members, VFIS expands
Accident and Sickness benefits to include Mandatory Quarantine.
What is Mandatory Quarantine?
Mandatory Quarantine is a period of isolation intended to limit the spread of an Infectious Disease. The
Mandatory Quarantine of an Insured Person must be ordered by appropriate medical officials while acting
under the authority of the local, state or federal government.
Medical Expense and Weekly Income Benefits are extended for losses resulting from the Mandatory
Quarantine of an Insured Person due to participation in a Covered Activity.
This new rider will be automatically added to policies as they renew. VFIS will interpret current policies to
include this extension of coverage.
VFIS is committed to protecting those who put themselves at risk to serve their communities
