(February 3, 2016) The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is accepting nominations for the annual awards recognizing achievements in the fire service. Consider nominating an outstanding contributor to the fire service for one of these national awards!
The Junior Firefighter of the Year and Junior Firefighter Program of the Year awards both honor an outstanding junior firefighter and program that have gone above and beyond in their service to the department and community. Nominations for these two awards are due February 11.
The Lifetime Achievement Award honors a volunteer firefighter who has served at least 20 years and exemplifies outstanding performance.
Nominations for this award are due February 11.
The Fire Prevention & Education Award honors an individual who has made remarkable efforts in the area of fire prevention. Nominations for this award are due March 1.
