Grant programs should support the implementation of safe practices and/or mandate safe practices as an eligibility requirement, according to the tenth National Fallen Firefighter Foundation Life Safety Initiatives.
Discuss the following:
- Has your department received a grant to enhance safety?
- If yes, what was the grant received for and how did it assist in your safety performance?
- If no, what needs to be done to identify grant opportunities so the department can apply for grants to enhance safety in the organization?
