Interested in the VFIS Education and Training resources? Check out these commonly asked questions:

A. Our instructor programs are based upon the assumption that you already have some authority within your organization to train others. Our programs simply show you the best way to teach this class and a hands on approach to setting up any competency courses that may be involved. Our “Train the Trainer” programs are intended for you to go back to your organization and teach that specific class. This is not a state certification.

A. A complete listing of the classes that VFIS Education, Training and Consulting have scheduled at this time can be found here. Registrations can be done on-line.

A. Pricing varies. Please contact us at 800.233.1957 for specific pricing.

A. VFIS does not have any mandatory prerequisites, however, your department may have prerequisites that they abide by.

A. They will need to be issued by the instructor using the template in the instructor’s kit.

A. Train the trainer programs are typically hosted by VFIS insureds. Please call 800.233.1957 and ask for the Education and Training Department so that we can meet your needs. Subject to the VFIS approval process for host location.

A. We offer most of our materials at no cost for the first copy (reduced cost thereafter) to our VFIS insurance clients (call 800.233.1957 or see the client catalog for details). If your organization is not insured with VFIS, there will be a charge and some of the items will not be available to you unless you take that specific class. We also have many free downloads available online in our Safety Central section.

A. All of our forms can be found online in our Safety Central section. All forms found in this section are offered as free downloads and can be printed directly from your computer.

A. This is not determined by VFIS. It is determined by your department and the authority having jurisdiction.

A. While we do carry the Harassment and Discrimination Package (DVD and CD-Rom) we do not send our instructors out to do this type of training. This training is meant to be done by a Chief Officer or Training Officer from your organization.
