Seeking a motivated insurance professional to join the GPP sales team in the New England region. Will develop and promote the sale and use of all GPP products and services through independent agents to achieve business plan elements, premium growth, profitability and market penetration objectives. Will promote and maintain goodwill between GPP and key distributors in six New England states. Exercises technical expertise, analytical ability and sound business judgment while assisting in the effective analysis of state specific public entity market environments for the potential expansion of all GPP product lines. BS Degree or equivalent industry experience and a minimum of three (3) years commercial property and casualty sales, marketing or underwriting experience is desired. Familiarity with all aspects of public entity (including misc. entities, special districts, public and private schools) is desired. Experience in the design, development, and implementation of business and sales plans and the ability to analyze the effectiveness of all existing plans are required. Must have and maintain or attain, within three (3) months, current property & casualty licenses for appropriate states. Successful completion of at least two parts of CPCU, three parts CIC, or its equivalent is desired. Frequent travel, including overnight travel, is required.

Assumes sales & marketing management and leadership responsibilities for the Wholesale-Specialty Programs of GIG. These responsibilities include management oversight of each Program budget, including agency profit and loss, working closely with direct reports in the planning and implementation of sales and marketing objectives, policies and programs, and the promotion of associate development. Maintains a high profile visibility internally and externally. Bachelor's Degree in business or marketing with a minimum of 15 years' experience in insurance sales and marketing with management, budgetary and profit center responsibilities. Must have and maintain P&C and Life & Health licenses in all states. Strongly desire experience in the design, development, and marketing of specialty insurance programs for targeted markets distributed primarily on a wholesale basis.

Prepares and submits insurance company partner filings for GIG Property and Casualty insurance programs to ensure timely approval of rate, rule and form filings by state insurance departments. Functions as a liaison between the carrier, GIG, and state insurance departments to resolve filing issues and communicates filing status. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent insurance industry experience and a minimum five (5) years work experience in a property and casualty insurance company or consulting state filings department required. Advanced knowledge of, and experience with, commercial property and casualty insurance products required, as well as experience with preparing and submitting insurance department rate and form filings and responding to insurance department filing questions. Extensive knowledge of insurance department rules and regulations governing coverage forms, endorsements, rates, rules, and policy declarations in addition to experience using MS Word and Excel, SERFF and filing tracking software required.

Participates in the development of web site architecture and overall site structure and setting organizational web development strategy. Develops, codes, installs, tests, debugs, and documents web applications. Assists with designing, developing, and updating databases as they relate to web applications. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the field of information systems, computer science or other related field. One or more years experience with insurance automation applications in an insurance agency environment ideal. 3-5 years of I.T. work experience with structuring, developing, and implementing interactive corporate web sites and web-based applications a must, including demonstrated expertise in web solutions development using Java, XML, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Performs grounds keeping tasks, including snow removal. Performs basic repairs and preventive maintenance tasks for the building’s systems. Operates a variety of motorized equipment. Assists team members in areas of facility maintenance. Will share responsibilities of on-call duties in areas of facility maintenance. High school education or equivalent required. Previous maintenance, grounds, and equipment operation experience required. Must have basic mechanical aptitude and computer literacy. A valid PA drivers’ license is required.

Assists Underwriter by entering data into the policy rating and issuance system for new business, renewals, and endorsements. Responsible for billing transactions and customer service within assigned underwriting territory. Refers accounts to Underwriter when necessary. Graduation from high school with appropriate coursework in English and Math leading to proficiency in verbal and written communication skills. Minimum one (1) year property-casualty agency or company experience preferred. Ability to process a heavy volume of detailed work on the computer requiring considerable concentration.

Provides processing assistance in Risk Control Department in order to provide timely, competent and valued services to our corporate divisions. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Lotus Notes and Excel Databases. Experience in using general office equipment such as digital scanner, copier and phone systems required. Must be able to use the above systems and equipment to scan, index and retrieve electronic images of documents. Prior experience in using dual monitors is helpful. Strong organizational and communication skills required in order to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Configures, installs, monitors, and maintains IT users’ desktop software and hardware. Supports mobile workforce. Provides consultation to IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software. Provides technical support and guidance and works with vendors to resolve issues. Responsible for documenting solutions to problems and developing end-user guidelines. May provide on-site training to users. Evaluates, maintains, modifies (e.g., creates macros, templates) and documents desktop application packages, participates in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implements prototypes. Consults with and makes recommendations to IT users on selection of hardware and software products to address business requirements. Must be able to concurrently handle multiple tasks and projects at different levels of complexity . Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent work experience. 3 to 5 years of IT work experience in supporting desktop software and hardware products and problem solving/troubleshooting required.

Assists underwriters in gathering and analyzing information needed in order to perform the underwriting function. Processes all customer service and related automated transactions within the region, as needed. Graduation from high school with appropriate coursework in English and Math leading to proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
